The Promo Server is a Windows service responsible for looking-up information according to the Page Content Filling mapping for a page's tab-field. The configuration of the service defines what channels it should monitor, by linking the channel id and the address to an active Media Sequencer where the data currently resides.

Using the REST API allows for adjustment to this configuration while the service is running and there is no need to manually edit configuration files.
