Showmaker

Showmaker is revolutionizing how you can create rundowns for Viz Mosart. Although still in “early access” mode, it’s now closer than ever to being production-ready. Here's what’s new:

Ready to air

Set a rundown ready to air, to push it into Viz Mosart.

On air status

You now see exactly what Viz Mosart has on air, from Showmaker. This opens the possibility of Showmaker now being part of your operational interface.

Copy/paste/duplicate

Stories and story items can now be duplicated, copied and pasted, even between rundowns.

Story List design

A new-look Story List includes auto-numbering and a flag indicating manual items.

Planned duration comparison

A total duration progress bar compares planned duration of the rundown to the combined duration of all stories, to help with show planning.

NRCS Plugin

Clip search

The NRCS Plugin can now connect to the active Viz Mosart server and search for clips on the connected video servers.

Note: Requires Viz Mosart 5.11 or later.

A redesigned Gallery/Template set selector now displays long template set names.

Rundown Viewer

Manual items

You can now see manual items in the Story Script section of the Rundown Viewer.

Ad-lib colors

We now correctly represent the colors of the different types of Adlib templates.

Note: Requires Viz Mosart 5.11 or later.

Mosart REST API

Mosart Web Applications can now be used as a proxy to call the Mosart REST API on the current active server.

Bug Fixes

Installation and Upgrade Process

  • Installation: To download this version, please visit the Vizrt FTP site at download.vizrt.com and navigate to / products/VizMosart/Latest Version/WebApplications/.

  • Upgrade: The installer manages the upgrade, automatically removing older versions of Vizrt Mosart Web Applications and Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before installing the new package.
    Remember to close any running version of the Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before upgrading.

  • Ensure compatibility with Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, and latest Chrome/Edge for a seamless experience across all Web Applications.

  • NRCS Plugin: Works with any version of Viz Mosart.
    NRCS Plugin with Viz Pilot Edge requires Viz Pilot Edge 3.1 or later.

  • Timing Display: Viz Mosart 5.0.3 or later.

  • Rundown Viewer: Viz Mosart 5.1.0 or later.

  • Showmaker: Viz Mosart 5.7.0 (MOS 4.0 support introduced) or later.
