The Configuration Tool enables rapid setup and management of all your Mosart Web Applications. This section presents advanced, mostly one-off configurations and references for the Mosart system administrator.

On first run, you must perform the one-time setups for the Mosart Web Apps. The quickest route is the Quick setup wizard, which walks you through the essentials. Everything it sets, and much more, remains available in the pages of this section:

  • App Configuration: per-application settings for the NRCS Plugin, Showmaker, the Named Overlays Editor and the Template Editor.

  • Studios: defining production environments for a multi-studio site.

  • Server Configuration: server addresses, the Mosart API access key, and integrations such as Media Sequencer, Viz Arc and TriCaster live previews.

  • HTTPS and Certificates: the proxy setup methods, the built-in certificate authority, custom certificates and their requirements.

  • Authentication: OpenID Connect sign-in and the user roles for the web apps.

Quick setup

On first run the Configuration Tool opens a guided Web Apps quick setup wizard that collects the minimum needed to get the Web Apps talking to Viz Mosart. It detects the machine it is running on and pre-fills what it can.

The wizard has these steps:

  1. Access: how browsers reach the Web Apps, including the browser port.

  2. Security: how connections are secured, either plain HTTP or HTTPS. This step only appears when you choose HTTPS, and it is where you pick the certificate approach.

  3. Mosart server: the Mosart server address, an optional backup server address, and the API access key.

  4. Ready to go live: a review of everything you entered, with Activate to apply it.

A rail on the left tracks your progress. You can jump back to any step you have already reached, but you cannot skip ahead, because each step is validated as you continue. When the wizard finishes, Go to Home takes you into the tool.

Info: You do not have to complete the wizard on first run. If you leave it, it is not forced open again the next time you start the tool, and you can re-enter it at any time from Quick setup at the bottom of the navigation sidebar.

The Mosart REST API documentation (Swagger), served at http://[web-apps-machine:port]/mosart/swagger. The Mosart Web Applications can be used as a proxy to call the Mosart REST API on the current active server.

Mosart Server Settings

The settings editor served by the Mosart server itself, so you can reach Manus Administrator settings without leaving the Configuration Tool. It opens the installation's main Viz Mosart server, and has to be enabled on that server (Enable Manus settings editor in its Remote Control Service settings); until then the item stays dimmed.

Info: With OIDC authentication enabled on the Mosart server, Mosart Server Settings cannot be used from a browser. Edit the settings on the Mosart server itself instead: in Manus Administrator, type settings in the console, or in AV Automation use Devices > Settings. That is also how you edit a backup server, or any other Mosart server.
