These are the release notes for Graphics Plugin for Avid version 2.3.5. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since version 2.3.4.

Windows and Macintosh

Improvements

  • Display an error dialog when the plugin is not configured, instead of rendering a black frame in preview (NLE-2175).

Fixed Issues

  • Edited templates are applied to wrong effects when copying/pasting, scrubbing on other effects on the timeline or adding new effects right after an editing (NLE-2833, NLE-2892, NLE-2893, NLE-2894 and NLE-2895).

  • Viz Pilot Edge Editor reports ERR_ABORTED when loading initial URL (NLE-2907).

  • Editing of hostname fields in the Configuration Tool for Windows are not saved (NLE-2915 and NLE-2917).

Graphics Plugin for Avid 2.3.4

These are the release notes for Graphics Plugin for Avid version 2.3.4. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since version 2.3.3.

Improvements

Windows

  • Updated the embedded web browser used by Graphics Plugin (NLE-2855).

  • Upgrade to NLE SDK 3.0.0 on Graphics Plugins and payload editor (NLE-2859).

Macintosh

  • Updated the embedded web browser used by Graphics Plugin (NLE-2862).

  • NLE SDK updated to version 3.0.1 and Pilot Edge Editor to version 2.0.1 (NLE-2869).

Fixed Issues

Windows

  • Fixed the issue that when upgrading from version 2.0 to 2.3, the timeline behavior in Avid MC changed (NLE-2818).

  • Fixed issue of the Avid NLE not refreshing if the data was rendered (NLE-2842).

  • Graphics Plugin on Avid MC wouldn't notify of changes and used old frames (NLE-2797).

  • Fixed issue of Pilot Edge NLE not opening properly in Media composer (NLE-2819).

Macintosh

  • Removed Graphics Plugin Editor (NLE-2727).

  • Fixed the issue when upgrading from version 2.0 to 2.3, the timeline behavior in Avid MC changed (NLE-2818).

  • Fixed issue of the Avid NLE not refreshing if the data was rendered (NLE-2842).

  • Graphics Plugin on Avid MC wouldn't notify of changes and used old frames (NLE-2797).

  • Fixed issue of Pilot Edge NLE not opening properly in Media composer (NLE-2872).


Graphics Plugin for Avid 2.3.3

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed issue when changing the effect metagraphics setting and it not being saved when it is changed before selecting a Viz One Graphic (NLE-2770).

Known Issues

  • The Graphics Plugin Editor is not currently supported on macOS Catalina and newer versions.

Graphics Plugin for Avid 2.3.2

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue when connecting to an https Pilot Edge using the "Untrusted SSL" option in Graphics Plugin configuration (NLE-2739).

Known Issues

  • The Graphics Plugin Editor is not currently supported on macOS Catalina and newer versions.

Graphics Plugin for Avid 2.3.1

These are the release notes for Graphics Plugin for Avid version 2.3.1. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since version 2.3.0.

New Features

  • Added a new feature for single thread rendering, which will improve performance in most cases (NLE-2660).

Fixed Issues

  • Graphics Plugin for Avid no longer locks Media Composer while in use. This fixed the following issues:

    • Avid MC crashes after users click “OK” in Pilot Edge (NLE-2654).

    • NLE crashes randomly when used in Avid Media Composer (NLE-2578).

  • The Help button in the config panel does not open the documentation page on macOS (CODER-3519).

Known Issues

  • The Graphics Plugin Editor is not currently supported on macOS Catalina and newer versions.

Graphics Plugin for Avid 2.3.0

These are the release notes for Graphics Plugin for Avid version 2.3.0. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since version 2.2.2.

New Features

  • Added support for metagraphics export (Windows only, to be used together with Avid Assistant 1.16.1) (NLE-2605).

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed still image playback while scrubbing the timeline. The frame would not update (NLE-2562).

  • Fixed alpha blending of graphics and video on transparent pixels when color correction option was set to true (NLE-2316).

  • Fixed NLE Payload Editor (hosts PilotEdge Editor) window not hiding to system tray when user interaction finishes on Windows systems (NLE-1500).

  • Fixed Gatekeeper compliance for macOS (NLE-2564).

Known Issues

  • The Graphics Plugin Editor is not currently supported on macOS Catalina and newer versions.

  • The Help button in the config panel does not open the documentation page on macOS. Documentation is still locally available in
    /Library/Application Support/Avid/AVX2_Plug-ins/Vizrt/AvidGraphicsPlugin.avx/Contents/Resources/SharedSupport/.
