Functionality Added

Functionality Improved

  • New improved Page Editor with an all new powerful Playlist Query and Database Query sections

  • Database Query can now be set per Page Field, including against different databases

  • Memory footprint of Promo Server reduced by 97%

  • Time zone and DST handling for Schedule and Channel settings uses latest available data from every system update

  • Rules section reworked for easier administration of powerful capabilities

System Requirements

  • Windows 7 64-bit (only), or higher

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.

  • Media Sequencer 5.0 or higher

  • Viz Engine 3.6 or higher

  • Graphic Hub REST 2.4.2 or higher

  • Media Codecs (K-lite Codec Pack full)

    Note: Codecs are required to preview proxy videos from Viz One. For installation, see the Viz One Integration section in the Viz Channel Branding User Guide.

Migration

Migrating from Viz Multichannel 4.2.x to Channel Branding 5.0+

  1. Uninstall previous version.

  2. Install Viz Channel Branding 5.0 component 'Upgrade Tool'

  3. Run 'Upgrade Tool' and 'Migrate' and then 'Upgrade' appropriate channels - it is a two-step process, one data migration-step step and one final data-upgrade pass
