Button State

Several status conditions are included on each button.

Button key: The text under the button displays the key that can be pressed to take the button.

Text: The text on the button shows the text entered in the keyboard editor. Alternatively, if button is bound to NCS content, it may show the slug from the NCS content.

Arrow mark: The arrow in the lower right corner indicates that the button definition is bound to NCS content.

Color: Template shortcuts use the color code as the template it invokes. Other shortcuts use gray background.

Dimmed: A colored button with dimmed state is awaiting NCS content, but has not yet received any. A button does not work when dimmed.
