Upgrading Viz Channel Branding
Vizrt recommends that customers contact their local Vizrt representative before upgrading. Tools are available to assist upgrade from previous versions of Viz Channel Branding.
IMPORTANT! The Upgrade Tool shipped with Channel Branding will upgrade an existing installation from legacy Multichannel 2.6.2 or higher, and any Channel Branding release up to the current version. If upgrading from a version older than Multichannel 2.6.2 you will have to use the upgrade tools shipped with the Multichannel 2.6.2 installer.
To upgrade Viz Channel Branding for each version, follow the instructions below.

Working with Upgrade Tool
Viz Channel Branding provides an update tool which can be found at C:\Program Files\Vizrt\Viz Channel Branding\Upgrade Tool.

Double-click the program to open it.

Fill out Media Sequencer IP address or hostname and click Connect to show a list of existing channels.
The channels in the list which are possible to upgrade are shown with an Upgrade button. -
Click Upgrade to begin.

The Upgrade Status will show a Fully Upgraded when the upgrading process is completed.
Upgrading from Legacy Viz Multichannel from 2.6.2+ to 4.x and Migrating to Viz Channel Branding 5.0+
The included Upgrade Tool include support for migrating the Viz Multichannel channels to Viz Channel Branding.

Double-click the program to open it.

Fill out Media Sequencer IP address or hostname and click Connect.

Switch to tab Migrate from Viz Multichannel to see list of available channels to migrate

Click Upgrade and Migrate on the relevant channels to migrate it over and upgrade it to 4.99.0 (preparation-version)

Switch tab to Upgrade Viz Channel Branding channel data to see list of channels in Channel Branding

Click Upgrade! on any channel that is listed and marked with such red button to finalize the migration and upgrading of the channel(s)
